Fernando Dagnino is a freelance comic book writer/artist currently working for Dark Horse Comics.
Fernando Dagnino (Madrid 1973) settled in Murcia (Spain), his artistic career started out during his last years of University (degree in English Philology) and sprung into three main fields: Graphic Design, Illustration, Video games and Comic-books. In 1998 he travelled to L.A. to work for Walt Disney´s Imagineers in the design of an attraction for Disneyquest permanently exhibited in Disney World Florida. In the following years he combined work at various graphic design companies together with freelance work as an illustrator for juvenile literature (Espasa, Everest, Alfaguara, Santillana) and comics.
After a brief sojourn in a Video Games company (Rebel Act) In 2001 he adopted a freelance status and started working as illustrator and conceptual designer for publicity agencies, magazines and producers (McCann Erickson, Tiempo BBDO, Bassat Ogilvy, Ackerman McQueen, Delvico141, El laboratorio, Calle 13, Progresa etc..)
In 2007 he wrote and illustrated the graphic novel “Kasandra y la Rebelión de los Niños” ed. Puerto NorteSur , a blend of fantasy literature and comic books In 2008 he started working as an exclusive freelance artist for DC comics Entertainment During his 5 year stay in Dc comics he had the chance to draw a great deal of titles first as a Penciller : Batman and the Outsiders, Teen Titans. Supergirl, Superman, Blackest Night: Starman, Action Comics, Wonder Woman. Legion of Superheroes, Green Lantern and Justice League :Generation Lost. And from 2010 onwards as Penciller and Inker : Resurrection man and Suicide Squad in 2013 He started working for Dark Horse Comics in the Captain Midnight series.
Currently He is working on a soon to be released series called TARZAN ON THE PLANET OF THE APES for Dark Horse.
