Fernando Dagnino is a freelance comic book writer/artist currently working for DC comics
Fernando Dagnino (Madrid 1973) is a versatile freelance artist settled in Murcia (Spain). Fernando´s artistic career started out during his lasts years of University (degree in English Philology) and sprung into three main fields: Graphic Design, Illustration , Video games and Comic-books.
In 1998 he travelled to L.A. to work for Walt Disney´s Imagineers in the design of an attraction for Disneyquest permanently exhibited in DisneyWorld Florida. In the following years he combined work at various graphic design companies together with freelance work as an illustrator for juvenile literature (Espasa, Everest, Alfaguara, Santillana) and comics. After a brief sojourn in a Video Games company (Rebel Act) In 2001 he adopted a freelance statu and started working as illustrator and conceptual designer for publicity agencies, magazines and producers (McCann Erickson, Tiempo BBDO, Bassat Ogilvy, Ackerman McQueen, Delvico141, El laboratorio, Calle 13, Progresa etc..)
In 2007 he wrote and illustrated the graphic novel “Kasandra y la Rebelión de los Niños” ed. Puerto NorteSur , a blend of fantasy literature and comic books.
In 2008 he started working as an exclusive freelance artist for DC comics Entertainment
His his first comic for DC was Batman and the Outsiders #13 and soon fllorwed three issues of Teen Titans. He’s also pencilled Supergirl, Superman, Blackest Night: Starman, Action Comics, Wonder Woman. Legion of Superheroes, and Justice League :Generation Lost.
In 2010 he was part of Dc´s New 52 grand relaunch , pencilling and inking Resurrection Man.
2012 – Fernando is currently the regular artist in Suicide Squad
